When people hear "ski workation," two reactions are common:
Both are valid. Let's deal with the "impossible" part first.
Here's the thing about ski workations that most people don't realize: skiing happens in the afternoon.
Ski lifts open at 9am. But on a ski workation, you're in the coworking space from 8am until 12:30 or 1pm. That's 4–5 hours of solid, focused work time. Which, if you're honest with yourself, is how long you actually get good work done in a regular office day anyway.
After lunch, you ski. The slopes are at their best in the afternoon sun. You're back by 5–6pm. Evening is for dinner, community time, and rest.
Repeat for 5 days, take a full ski day on Saturday, rest on Sunday.
It's not a workday with skiing bolted on. It's a ski trip built around a legitimate work schedule.
Our Valais locations give you access to some of the best terrain in Europe:
You don't need to be an expert. Our groups include beginners on rental equipment and experienced freeride skiers. Activities are tailored to what you're comfortable with.
**Gear**: Bring your own or rent locally. We help arrange rentals in advance.
**Transfers**: Lifts to the ski areas are organized. You don't need a car.
**Fitness**: Alpine skiing is physical. A few days before arrival, some light cardio and leg work helps. Don't skip leg day.
**You will work less than a normal week.** If you have a critical deliverable due mid-workation, plan accordingly. Tell your team you're remote and factor in the ski day.
**You will be tired.** Physically. In the best possible way. Altitude + skiing + fresh air = excellent sleep. The morning alarm will still be early.
**You will not want to leave.** Budget some emotional readjustment time for re-entry into normal life.
Ski workations work best for:
The mountain changes things. It resets your nervous system in a way that a spa weekend or city break just can't.
Book a ski workation once and you'll wonder how you lived without them.
